Pumpkin Toilet Tissue Cover Crochet Pattern



Pumpkin:

This is sized for a double sized roll of toilet tissue.

Use an H hook

Ch 5, join with sl st to first ch to form a ring

Round 1:  Work 1 sc into ring and ch 1 (this is the 1st dc), work 11 dc into ring, join with a sl st, into   the ch 1 (12 dc)

Round 2:  Work 1 sc and ch 1 into same space as the joining st, work 1 dc in same space, work 2 dc's in each dc around, join with a sl st, into the ch 1 (24 dc)

Round 3:  Work 1 sc and ch 1 into same space as the joining st, work 2 dc in next dc, *work 1 dc in next dc, work 2 dc in next dc,* repeat from*to* to end, join with a sl st into ch 1 (36 dc)

Round 4:  Work 1 sc and ch 1 into same space as the joining st, work 1 dc in next st, work 2 dc in next dc, *work 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, work 2 dc in next dc,* repeat from *to* to end, join with a sl st into the ch 1 (48 dc)

Round 5-11:  Work 1 sc and ch 1 into the same space as the joining st, work 1 dc in next st and each st across (48 dc)

Round 12: Ch 1, sc  your final row (48 sc) finish off

Stem:

ch 4, sl st to form a ring

Round 1:  6 sc in ring (do not join to 1st)

Round 2-5:  1 sc in top of first sc from previous row, *1 sc in next st,* repeat from *to* until you have completed 4 more sc (total 6 sc)

finish off leaving a long tail to attach to top of pumpkin

Leaf:

ch 6

Row 1:  sc in 2nd st from hook, half double crochet in next st, double crochet in next st, half double crochet in next st, sc in next st, sl st to first  st

finish off leaving a long tail to attach

Twirl:

ch 12

Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc across (11 sc)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  This will naturally curl.  You can help it curl by wrapping it around your crochet hook.

Attach the stem, then leaf, then twirl to the top of the pumpkin.
